We start the year focusing on the writing process and reviewing the six traits of writing. The six traits are: voice, organization, ideas, conventions, word choice, and sentence fluency. Good Habits Great Writers then follows the five main types of writing as listed below. Under each genre of writing, students are exposed to several different examples of that style of writing.
